Pakinson's In-Home Care

Diet & Nutrition
Balanced Meals, Physical Health & Mental Engagement
While there is no prescription for a PD-specific diet, to maintain overall good health most people living with Parkinson’s disease should eat a variety of whole grains, vegetables, fruits, milk and dairy products, and protein-rich foods such as meat and beans. Also consider including nuts, olive oil, fish and eggs to your diet, for their beneficial fats.

Emotional Well-Being
We care so you can walk through the feelings
A person diagnosed with Parkinson’s often feels a flood of emotions, as do their loved ones.
Accepting and successfully navigating those feelings, whether anger, sadness, grief or even denial, is important. Stress can make PD symptoms worse. By focusing on your strengths, nurturing caring relationships, sharing your concerns, embracing healthy behaviors and your spirituality, you can better cope with the potential challenges of PD. We provide care to help you walk through the emotions.

Activities of Daily Living
Your Life Will Never Be Put On Hold. We Gaurantee It.
Sometimes Parkinson’s disease (PD) can complicate the basic daily activities a person with living with Parkinson’s once did easily, like bathing, dressing, eating, sleeping and even walking. It can be hard to adjust to these changes, but there are ways to improve safety while supporting a good quality of life. Our Senior Living Caregivers help with:
-
Mobility
-
Freezing
-
Home Safety
-
Bathing & Grooming
-
Mealtime
-
Getting Dressed

Traveling

Veterans and Parkinson’s Disease
Empowring our heroes.
Our Senior Living Caregivers don't let symptoms discourage our veterans from participating in activities. Specially adapted tools are available to help with things like holding a paintbrush. If some hobbies become too hard, like playing a musical instrument, we take them to their favorite concerts or listen to music instead.
We help them try relaxing activities to reduce stress, while listening to music and relaxation-guided imagery may help ease tremors.
